In mid January 2009, I was asked by an eminent Asian marketing magazine to comment on the boycott of American companies in Malaysia, in response to Muslim world’s reaction to the Gaza war.
The appeal was quite widespread and some very influential people had called for a boycott.
I checked and found that the blogosphere seemed to be divided in their opinion of the right course of action. Which was both good and bad.

The Digital Media Festival Singapore happened on 31st October 2008. The theme was Televesion 2.0 There was a conference section, exhibitions (mobile content and game showcase) and fringe programmes- though the conference was the big draw for me.

There is an almost sudden deluge of news articles about Online media. Forget about articles, there are new magazines launched (my guess is in the last one year or so) specifically for the new media- Internet and Mobile. This is specifically in Singapore and Hong Kong  though I’m sure the trend replicates elsewhere in Asia as well.
