In the year 2008:

• Did you step on someone else to further your career? Or to save your job?
• Were you intimidated by someone who is so smart, talented and focused that it makes you look meagre and dumb- and so you wanted to ‘fix them’ so they do not become a threat?
• Did you run away to another job/country from present and clear responsibilities to save your skin?
• Did you throw shit at clients/superiors in terms of work, value and presentations- and framed scapegoats- when shit hit the fan?
• Did you indulge in groupism, politiking and backstabbing (to further your position/ego/worth) in your company/circle/group?
• Did you still retain the position that you have, without having the talent, skill sets or attitude for it- and did nothing about it?
• Did you create a culture of mistrust, misunderstanding, intimidation and loss of confidence within your organisation/circle/group?
• Did you act like a smartass “know all”  when you knew very little, if at all?
• Did you not only ‘not speak’ your mind but tried to supress others that did?
• Did you lick ass- and got rewarded- without showing any spine? OR Voice? OR Character?
• Do you still retain your position without any demonstrable expertise or skill sets?

If the answer to any of the above is affirmative, well, then, FAKE YOU. Fakeness has rewarded you in 2008, and will continue to reward you. Others please learn and grow.

For the others who preferred to kick-ass than lick ass:

Get over concience – there are races to be won
Get over genuineness- there are salaries to be earned
Get over compassion- there are jobs to be saved. (And yours comes first)
Get over collaboration- there are careers to be furthered
Get over mentoring – it was always to each his own
Get over learning- there are others to blame
